iQOO Unveils Concept Phone iQOO X With Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro and 15,000mAh Battery

iQOO showed off a concept phone internally, dubbed the iQOO X, built to demonstrate the brand's engineering ambitions rather than a device headed for retail shelves. Every specification attached to it currently exists only on paper, and the company has not stated any plans for mass production.

A Chipset That Doesn't Exist Yet

The platform is what draws the most attention: the iQOO X runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 10 Pro, paired with a self-developed e-sports chip called QX. For context, Qualcomm is currently only preparing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro as its next real flagship platform, so the chip name used in this concept effectively describes technology several generations ahead and should be treated as an unverified marketing claim rather than a real specification.

A Display Built Around Extreme Refresh Rates

The device features a 7-inch true full-screen LTPO 6.0 panel with 2K+ resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. A half-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor sits beneath the panel, and the touch sampling rate reaches 4,800Hz for near-instant response. iQOO also claims support for AI-driven dynamic partition refresh, letting different parts of the screen refresh independently of one another.

A 15,000mAh Battery

Battery life gets special attention too: the iQOO X packs an all-solid-state battery rated at 15,000mAh, nicknamed the "Blue Ice Battery." Solid-state batteries of that capacity aren't found in any shipping smartphone today, so this part of the concept mainly signals the direction of iQOO's research rather than a technology ready for mass production.

A Triple Camera With Two 200MP Sensors

The camera system consists of a 200MP Sony main sensor, a 200MP Samsung periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP Samsung ultra-wide sensor. Beyond the digital concept, iQOO also brought physical prototypes to the event, giving attendees a first look at how the design and build might actually come together.

Brands typically skip pricing for concept devices, but iQOO shared figures anyway. The base 12GB+512GB model is priced at ¥6,999 (~$1,038), the 16GB+512GB version at ¥7,399 (~$1,097), the 16GB+1TB model at ¥7,799 (~$1,157), and the top-tier 24GB+1TB configuration at ¥8,599 (~$1,275).
