Honor Confirms Watch 6 Pro Launch Date With Cardiac Arrest Monitoring

Honor has released the first official teaser of the Watch 6 Pro, which will become the flagship model in its Watch 6 lineup. Rather than focusing on sports tracking or battery endurance, the company is centering the new device around serious heart-health monitoring — its headline feature is the ability to detect signs of a cardiac arrest.

Images posted by Honor on Weibo show the Watch 6 Pro with a round watch face and two physical buttons on the right side of the case for quick access to functions without relying on the touchscreen. The company revealed two distinct looks — a sportier version and a more formal, classic one — suggesting the model is positioned as a premium everyday accessory rather than purely a fitness tracker. According to Chinese retail listings, the watch will come in both ceramic and stainless-steel cases, each with matching straps.

Display

Chinese retail listings indicate the Watch 6 Pro will use an OLED display with a local peak brightness of up to 5,500 nits. The figure has not been officially confirmed by Honor, and as with smartphone displays, such peak values typically apply only to small portions of the screen under specific conditions, such as direct sunlight, rather than sustained full-panel brightness.

Health Front and Center

Cardiac arrest monitoring is the headline new feature of the Watch 6 Pro — Honor says the watch will be able to detect signs of a potential cardiac arrest and automatically initiate a request for emergency assistance. The company has not yet disclosed which sensors and algorithms power the feature.

The second key addition is an updated blood pressure monitoring system that works without requiring the user to manually start each reading. It relies on Honor's new sensing platform, called Lingxi, which the company says provides the foundation for the watch's health features.

Chinese marketing materials also mention a glucose-management assistant (CGM), though Honor has not clarified whether this involves a dedicated optical sensor or software integration with external blood-glucose monitoring devices.
