CUBOT Unveils KINGKONG Dura, a Rugged Phone With a Swappable Battery

CUBOT is preparing to launch the rugged KINGKONG Dura smartphone, built around a swappable battery system designed to cut charging downtime. Instead of waiting for the phone to charge, users can pull out a depleted battery and pop in a fully charged one in seconds, then get straight back to work, travel, or outdoor activities.

How the Swappable Battery System Works

The battery inside the KINGKONG Dura can be removed and replaced in seconds: the depleted cell comes out, a charged one goes in, with no cable and no waiting.

The phone will optionally ship with a Dual Battery Kit — a second battery plus a dedicated charging dock. One battery powers the phone while the other charges separately.

Rugged Protection for Outdoor Use

KINGKONG Dura targets people who work or spend time outdoors in demanding conditions — on job sites, on long drives, or while camping. The phone carries IP68 and IP69K ratings along with MIL-STD-810H certification, covering resistance to drops, water, dust, and extreme temperatures.

The body also houses a built-in camping light, giving users an extra light source when there's no power outlet nearby.

Display and Camera

The device features a 6.88-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. The main camera is a 64MP sensor. According to specifications published by GSMArena, the phone runs on a Unisoc T620 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage — details CUBOT has not officially confirmed.

Launch Date and Global Giveaway

CUBOT KINGKONG Dura will make its official debut on TikTok Shop on September 1, with a dedicated launch event running through September 5. Pricing and full availability details are expected to follow.
