OnePlus 16 Clears 3C Certification With Confirmed 100W Charging
OnePlus 16 is the company's upcoming flagship, spotted in China's 3C certification database under the model number PYB110. The filing confirms support for two power adapters and moves the device a step closer to its final pre-launch stage. A 3C listing is one of the last mandatory steps before retail sales begin in China, so the entry adds further confirmation to a model insiders have been discussing since summer.
3C certification confirms fast charging support
According to the 3C database entry, the PYB110 ships with two power adapters — VCBAOBCH and VCBAJDCH. The first supports a 100–130V/200–240V input at 2.5A and outputs up to 5–11V at 7.3A or 9.1A depending on the mode. The second adapter, VCBAJDCH, covers the same input voltage range and can output up to 5A at 5–11V, matching the listed maximum of 100W. The filing also lists the standards the device was tested against: YD/T1595.1-2012, GB/T 22450.1-2008, YD/T2583.14-2013, YD/T 2583.18-2024, and GB 4943.1-2022.
Design and display: what insiders expect
Unofficial reports point to a 6.78-inch BOE panel using LTPO technology and LIPO packaging, which reportedly trims the bezels to around 1mm on all sides. The refresh rate is rumored to reach up to 165Hz in normal use and up to 185Hz in supported games. There is also talk of a possible return to a circular camera island, which would mark a visible break from the design of recent models in the lineup.
Performance and battery life
Sources point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro as the chipset behind the new flagship, with insiders suggesting OnePlus 16 could be among the first phones to launch on the platform. LPDDR6 memory has also been mentioned. The most notable change could be the battery: unofficial reports put its capacity at around 9,000mAh, up from 7,300mAh in the OnePlus 15, a jump attributed to a switch to silicon-carbon cells.
Cameras: sources disagree
Camera details remain inconsistent between reports. Some sources describe a 200MP main sensor paired with 50MP ultrawide and periscope telephoto units, while others describe the opposite setup, with the 200MP sensor sitting on the telephoto lens instead. Neither version has been officially confirmed.
Up to 100W charging is confirmed by the official 3C certification — one of the few OnePlus 16 specs that is no longer just a rumor.
Unofficial reports put battery capacity at around 9,000mAh — nearly 1,700mAh more than its predecessor.
Network certification confirmed support for the N79 5G band, a frequency that has become rare on flagships and helps improve network coverage.
At the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gaming Technology Awards, OnePlus China President Li Jie confirmed that three of the brand's signature gaming technologies will get a full upgrade specifically on the OnePlus 16. Unofficial reports point to a China launch in October 2026.
