OPPO Unveils Find X10 Pro Max With Three 200 MP Cameras
OPPO has introduced the Find X10 Pro Max, the top model in the Find X10 lineup, which also includes the Find X10 and Find X10 E. The biggest change is in the camera module: the main, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras all use 200 MP sensors, and OPPO says this makes it the first smartphone with such a setup. The phone also runs on MediaTek's 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip and packs an 8000 mAh battery, the largest ever fitted to a Find series device.
Three 200 MP Cameras
The main camera uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and optical stabilization. It relies on next-generation DeepPix sensor technology that OPPO co-developed with partners. The company claims 17 stops of dynamic range at 1x, which should help in backlit and night scenes where bright areas of the frame usually blow out.
The ultra-wide and telephoto cameras both get 1/1.56-inch sensors. The ultra-wide covers a 124° field of view and, according to OPPO's lab measurements, captures roughly twice as much light as the equivalent module on the Find X9 Pro. The 70 mm telephoto delivers 3x optical zoom, has optical stabilization and can focus from 10 cm, so it doubles as a macro camera.
Full 200 MP resolution is available in Hasselblad mode at 0.5x, 1x and 3x. The setup is completed by a second-generation Danxia color sensor with 24 spectral channels, which now corrects color not only in photos but also frame by frame in video and Live Photos. The 50 MP front camera records 4K video at 60 fps.
Display and Build
The Find X10 Pro Max has a flat 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 2772×1272 pixels. The refresh rate adapts between 1 and 120 Hz and rises to 144 Hz in select games. Global peak brightness reaches 2000 nits, minimum brightness drops to 1 nit, and PWM dimming runs at 3840 Hz, which is meant to reduce eye strain in the dark. OPPO says the panel covers 95% of the BT.2020 color space.
The body is 8.4 mm thick and weighs 233–235 g depending on the color. The phone is rated IP66, IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance and has passed SGS drop certification. The two-tone rear panel inspired by classic cameras is exclusive to the Moon White version, while Light Titanium is only a color name, as the body contains no titanium.
Platform and Battery Life
The Dimensity 9600 Pro is built on a 2nm process. Its eight cores run at up to 4.55 GHz, with two of them belonging to the highest-performance class. According to MediaTek, power consumption of these cores is 37% lower than on the Find X9 Pro. Memory uses the LPDDR5X standard with UFS 4.1 storage, and cooling is handled by a large vapor chamber.
The 8000 mAh battery uses a silicon-carbon anode developed in-house by OPPO. It supports 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging, and a charger is included in the box. OPPO promises the battery will retain at least 80% of its original capacity after five years of use.
The phone runs ColorOS 17. New system features include closer integration with Apple devices: tap-to-share photos and videos with an iPhone, answering calls that come in on an iPhone directly on the OPPO phone, and syncing data from an Apple Watch.
Video Recording
All three rear cameras record 4K video at 120 fps in Dolby Vision, while maximum resolution reaches 8K at 30 fps. Horizon leveling automatically corrects frame tilt of up to 5°.
8K Log recording captures 10-bit video at 8K and 30 fps, leaving more room for color grading. Support for the professional ACES color management workflow makes post-processing easier.
Open Gate mode appears on an OPPO imaging flagship for the first time. It records video from the full sensor area, so footage can later be cropped for either horizontal or vertical formats. The mode is available at 0.5x, 1x and 3x.
The Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit is sold separately and includes a telephoto lens attachment, a case and a grip. According to OPPO, it enables 20x lossless zoom in good lighting and 4K 60 fps video recording in Dolby Vision.
The OPPO Find X10 Pro Max was announced in China on September 22. Pre-orders are already open, and sales begin on September 24. The 12/256 GB version costs 6,799 yuan (~$955), 12/512 GB is 7,499 yuan (~$1,055), 16/512 GB is 7,999 yuan (~$1,125), and 16 GB/1 TB is 8,999 yuan (~$1,265). The Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit is priced at 1,099 yuan (~$155).
