Redmi Opens Pre-Orders for Buds 8S Earbuds Ahead of September 22 Sale
Redmi has opened pre-orders for its new Buds 8S earbuds, unveiled alongside the Watch S5 41mm smartwatch as part of a broader wearable lineup refresh ahead of the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series launch.
A semi-in-ear design built for all-day wear
The Buds 8S adopt a semi-in-ear shape rather than the closed-tip fit used on many rival earbuds. The open design is generally easier on the ear canal during long listening sessions, trading some passive noise isolation for comfort.
Driver hardware and ecosystem connectivity
Sound comes from an 11mm dynamic driver, the same size found in several recent Redmi Buds models. The earbuds support Xiaomi HyperConnect, a pairing technology designed to speed up connections with compatible Xiaomi phones and other devices.
Xiaomi HyperConnect lets the Buds 8S pair faster and more reliably with Xiaomi phones, tablets and other devices, without requiring the user to search for the earbuds manually each time.
Pre-orders for the Redmi Buds 8S are already open in China through official sales channels, with retail sales set to begin on September 22, 2026. Xiaomi has not yet announced pricing or availability for global markets.
