ASUS Unveils Ascent QN10, the First Mini PC With an 80 TOPS NPU

ASUS has unveiled the Ascent QN10, a mini PC the company calls the world's first agentic AI mini PC with an 80 TOPS NPU. Built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite platform, it pairs an 18-core CPU, an integrated Adreno GPU, and a powerful Hexagon NPU inside an ultracompact chassis under 0.7 liters — 86% smaller than a typical 5-liter desktop tower. ASUS says the device exceeds the minimum Copilot+ PC requirements and is aimed at creators, developers, and enterprise users.

Performance built around Snapdragon X2 Elite

At the core of the Ascent QN10 is the Snapdragon X2 Elite platform (model X2E-88-100), featuring an 18-core, third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU. Graphics are handled by the integrated Qualcomm Adreno X2-90 chip, which ASUS says runs up to 2.3 times faster than the previous generation. The standout feature is the Hexagon NPU, rated at up to 80 TOPS, which takes on intensive AI workloads such as real-time speech translation, content generation, and video enhancement, offloading the CPU and GPU. As a result, the system stays quiet and cool even during extended AI workloads.

Agentic AI support. The Ascent QN10 runs tasks in a hybrid mode, combining cloud LLMs with local NPU inference, and works with frameworks such as OpenClaw and Hermes Agent. Agents can be controlled through everyday messaging apps like WhatsApp and LINE, and routing workloads between the cloud and the device helps cut API costs and improve responsiveness.

Memory and storage

The Ascent QN10 comes in two memory configurations. The base model gets 16GB of LPDDR5x running at 8533 MHz, while the higher-tier model gets 32GB at a faster 9600 MHz; in both cases the memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded. Storage, unlike memory, can be replaced: the device supports M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs from 512GB to 1TB, and base configurations already ship with either a 512GB or 1TB drive.

Qualcomm® AI Hub. Developers get access to a platform with more than 175 ready-to-use AI models, along with support for their own models and data (Bring Your Own Model/Data), simplifying the move from model customization to running it directly on the Ascent QN10.

Connectivity and displays

The Ascent QN10 offers seven USB ports: three USB4 ports running at 40Gbps with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery support, three USB 3.x ports at 10Gbps, and one USB 2.0 port. It also includes a single HDMI output and a combo audio jack. That's enough to drive up to four 4K displays simultaneously. Networking is covered by Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a wired 2.5G LAN port.

Security

Security on the Ascent QN10 follows a chip-to-cloud approach. The device includes a hardware fTPM 2.0 module for encryption and credential protection, along with the Microsoft Pluton security processor, which protects keys and enables remote device management even when the system is powered down.

Snapdragon Guardian. Built into the Snapdragon X2 Elite SoC, this feature lets administrators remotely manage and recover the Ascent QN10 even when it's powered off or Windows fails to boot.

Software and AI ecosystem

The Ascent QN10 is certified as a Copilot+ PC and, according to ASUS, exceeds the program's minimum requirements. It supports on-device AI features such as real-time speech translation, image generation, and workflow automation. ASUS positions the Ascent QN10 for home offices, content creators, developers, and enterprise customers, as well as edge computing scenarios ranging from digital signage to industrial analytics.

ASUS officially announced the Ascent QN10 on September 17, 2026, in Fremont, California. US sales began the same day: the base configuration with 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD costs $1,349, while the higher-tier 32GB configuration costs $1,699.
