ASUS Announces the ROG Strix XG27ACNS With a 920Hz Mode
ASUS has announced the ROG Strix XG27ACNS, a 27-inch gaming monitor with Triple Mode technology that reaches a 920Hz refresh rate in its HD mode. At QHD the display runs at up to 475Hz when overclocked, and Full HD tops out at 620Hz.
Fast IPS and three operating modes
Unlike the 4K XG27UCMG, this model uses QHD (2560 × 1440) as its native resolution, and all three modes lean toward raw speed. A Fast IPS panel with a 0.3ms minimum GTG response time cuts trailing behind moving objects, which becomes essential at these refresh rates: without a short response time, part of the benefit of a high refresh rate is lost.
Color and signature features
The display covers 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut and holds VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Inputs include DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC support, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C with 15-watt Power Delivery.
ASUS DisplayWidget Center handles automatic firmware updates and lets users carry monitor settings across devices.
The ROG Gaming AI package includes AI Visual, Dynamic Shadow Boost and Dynamic Crosshair, which adjust the image and help pick out detail in darker parts of a scene.
The monitor was introduced on August 25, 2026 at Gamescom 2026, and ASUS has not yet announced pricing or a sales start date.
