ASUS Unveils ExpertBook B3 G2 Business Laptop With Up to 17 TOPS NPU
ASUS has introduced the ExpertBook B3 G2, a configurable business laptop offered in 14-inch (B3406CMA) and 16-inch (B3606CMA) versions. What sets the machine apart is not peak performance but the mix of priorities behind it: on-device AI processing, an enterprise security stack, and a chassis built for self-servicing. Weight starts at 1.45 kg, and the 180-degree lay-flat hinge makes it easier to share the screen across a desk.
Performance and AI features
The laptop can be configured with processors up to Intel Core 7 Series 3 with integrated graphics. The key part of the platform is the built-in neural processor, which takes over AI workloads and frees up the main compute cores.
The NPU delivers up to 17 TOPS, enough to run AI features locally, including Microsoft Copilot and AI noise cancellation during calls.
The platform supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and 4TB of SSD storage, but factory configurations top out at 32GB and 1TB, with the rest available through a user upgrade.
Clock stability is handled by the ExpertCool thermal design, which according to ASUS sustains performance under prolonged loads.
Display, connectivity and battery life
Higher-end configurations come with a display of up to 2.5K resolution, an anti-glare coating and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Video conferencing relies on a camera with up to Full HD resolution and an infrared module, while WiFi 6E is available as an option on selected configurations. ASUS describes the wired I/O selection as extensive but has not published the full port list yet.
The battery holds up to 70Wh and, according to ASUS, covers a full working day without a recharge.
ASUS announced the ExpertBook B3 G2 on August 20, 2026; the company did not disclose pricing or regional availability dates.
Security and durability
Enterprise protection is built around the ASUS ExpertGuardian platform, which combines hardware and software safeguards. It meets NIST SP 800-193 requirements, relies on a TPM 2.0 module and comes with five years of BIOS and driver updates, which matters for companies running long hardware refresh cycles.
ExpertGuardian also includes dual ROM firmware recovery, a dedicated security processor, chassis-intrusion detection and cloud recovery.
The chassis has passed MIL-STD-810H testing, a standard that covers 24 separate procedures for resistance to external conditions. ASUS additionally offers business support programs for corporate customers.
