ASUS Announces ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace With a 560Hz QD-OLED Panel
ASUS has announced the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace, a 24.5-inch esports monitor built around an RGB QD-OLED panel running at 560Hz. The model joins the Ace series, where ASUS groups the displays it develops with input from professional players.
BlackShield Film coating against glare
What separates the XG259QDPG Ace from other QD-OLED displays is BlackShield Film paired with an anti-glare, low-reflection coating. ASUS says the combination raises perceived black levels by up to 40% and makes the panel 2.5 times harder. Both matter in competition, where a monitor sits under heavy stage lighting and takes more physical handling in transit.
Ace series toolset
The functionality shared across the Ace line is built around setting up a station quickly.
Measurement scales on the tilt (−5° to +33°), swivel (±45°) and height (0–155mm) adjustments let a player restore a familiar screen position down to the notch.
The Quick OSD menu opens core image settings right before a match, while three Esports Color presets are prepared for different FPS scenarios.
The power design uses GaNFET transistors, which improve heat dissipation and are meant to extend the life of the OLED panel.
Connectivity is set up for running several systems at once: one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC support, two HDMI 2.1 inputs and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.
The monitor was introduced on August 25, 2026 at Gamescom 2026, and ASUS has not yet announced pricing or a sales start date.
