Samsung Introduces a More Affordable 14-inch Galaxy Book6 Laptop

Samsung has expanded its laptop range with a new 14-inch Galaxy Book6, the most affordable entry point into the series. The machine is aimed at everyday work: documents, web browsing, video calls and streaming. It inherits the visual identity of the higher-end Book6 models, but its hardware is built around entry-level Intel processors and long battery life rather than maximum performance.

Chassis and Display

The laptop follows the same design language as the rest of the series, with clean lines, a symmetrical layout and a centred logo on the lid. The body is 15.7mm thick and the machine weighs 1.35kg. For the first time in the Galaxy Book range Samsung offers a Violet Silver finish, alongside the classic Gray option.

The WUXGA panel with a 1920×1200 resolution uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, which leaves more vertical room for documents and web pages than the usual 16:9 format. Brightness is rated at 350 nits, and an anti-reflective coating cuts down on glare when working away from home.

The port selection is meant to keep dongles out of the bag. Both USB Type-C ports offer identical functionality, so there is no need to hunt for the "right" one, and they sit next to a full-size USB Type-A, HDMI 1.4 with 4K@30 support and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Performance and Battery Life

The model runs on Intel Core 3 and Intel Core 5 chips from the Core Series 3 generation, with integrated Intel Graphics handling visuals. A dedicated NPU delivers up to 15 TOPS and takes care of on-device AI processing.

The 61.2Wh battery, according to Samsung's figures, lasts up to 25 hours on a single charge. The bundled 45W adapter restores roughly 33% of the charge in half an hour.

"With the new Galaxy Book6, we wanted to make the Galaxy Book experience available for more people. At a more accessible price, it brings together the everyday essentials users value, including dependable performance, long-lasting battery life, connected Galaxy experiences, and Galaxy Book6's design DNA, giving users confidence that lasts beyond the purchase," said Mincheol Lee, EVP and Head of Galaxy Ecosystems Business Team at Samsung Electronics.

Galaxy AI and Cross-Device Features

The laptop ships with Galaxy AI tools and a set of ecosystem features that cut down the number of steps needed to move data between a phone, a tablet and a PC.

AI Select lets users highlight content directly on screen and pull up relevant information about it straight away. It also includes AI cut out, which removes backgrounds from images.

Storage Share opens access to photos, videos and files stored on a compatible Galaxy smartphone without copying them to the laptop first.

Multi Control allows a single keyboard and mouse to operate several supported Galaxy devices.

The remaining features will be familiar to Galaxy owners. Note Assist summarises notes in Samsung Notes and surfaces the key points, while Quick Share handles fast file transfers between compatible devices. Second Screen turns a Galaxy Tab into an additional display, Nearby Devices simplifies finding and connecting hardware close by, and Link to Windows brings part of the smartphone experience to the laptop screen.

The new 14-inch Galaxy Book6 was announced on September 1, 2026; it is already on sale in select markets, with prices starting at $799.
