iQOO Shows Off Pad Ultra Gaming Tablet With Built-In Cooling Fan
iQOO has officially shown off the design of its iQOO Pad Ultra gaming tablet and confirmed its launch date in China. The new device bets on combining compactness with performance, which is why the manufacturer built an active cooling system into the chassis — a rare feature for a tablet this size.
Design and Cooling System
The standout engineering feature of the iQOO Pad Ultra is a built-in fan measuring just 30 × 30 × 3.5mm, capable of spinning up to 14,500rpm and delivering a maximum airflow of 0.94 CFM. The heat dissipation area covers 1,661mm², with air exiting through a dedicated vent next to the square camera module on the back panel.
Despite the complex thermal system, the tablet's chassis stays thin and light: it measures 5.74mm thick and weighs just 298g. The body is built entirely from metal, with an LED indicator styled as an energy pattern on the back panel.
Gaming Accessories
iQOO has developed two dedicated accessories for the Pad Ultra. The telescopic game controller connects to the tablet via USB-C to eliminate input lag and features Hall effect analog sticks along with microswitch buttons for a crisp tactile response. The second accessory is a rear grip attachment designed for more comfortable handling during long gaming sessions.
Key Features
The active cooling system supports three operating modes: manual control, automatic activation based on temperature, and automatic activation during gaming or fast charging. This helps maintain stable performance during long gaming sessions without the risk of thermal throttling.
The controller's Hall effect analog sticks turn the compact tablet into a console-like gaming device, reducing input lag compared to standard touch controls.
The tablet will launch on the new OriginOS 7 interface with a Blue Heart Little V Pro mode and system-level AI features, promising deeper interface personalization.
The iQOO Pad Ultra will launch in China on September 29, 2026, alongside the iQOO 16 smartphone.
