Samsung Unveils 130-Inch Micro RGB TV With 100% BT.2020 Color Coverage
Samsung Electronics is expanding its Micro RGB TV lineup with an ultra-large 130-inch model. The technology has already won the CES 2026 Best of Innovation Award and was named one of TIME magazine's "Best Inventions of the Year."
Engineering for Near-Perfect Color
Micro RGB relies on miniaturized RGB LEDs built directly into the backlight unit. The method delivers wide, highly accurate color reproduction, developed without any established industry benchmark to follow.
The team set an ambitious target: 100% BT.2020 color coverage, the ultra-high-definition standard defined by the International Telecommunication Union and often called the "ultimate color gamut." That level of color accuracy was previously reserved mostly for professional monitors rather than home TVs.
AI Brings the Color to Everyday Viewing
Micro RGB Color Booster Pro uses a neural processing unit to analyze content in real time and precisely enhance color not just in HDR material, but across everyday viewing, including OTT streaming.
AI Soccer Mode Pro automatically detects soccer broadcasts and boosts key colors such as pitch grass and team uniforms, a timely feature as the global football season kicks off.
Supersize Picture Enhancer is an AI picture-quality technology built for ultra-large displays, preserving image detail and preventing distortion or pixelation at 130 inches.
The TV also features Glare Free technology, which cuts down reflections regardless of ambient lighting — from a darkened room to a brightly lit space.
Sound and Design Built Around a Massive Screen
Audio comes from a 160W 10.4.2-channel speaker system that fills the room without external speakers. The Micro RGB TV's signature wall-mount design uses a proprietary bracket and pocket structure that lets the screen sit nearly flush against the wall — available on the 65-, 75- and 85-inch models.
