Google Pixel Watch 5 Leak: Google Play Console Reveals Specs — Chip Stays the Same
A Google Play Console listing for the Google Pixel Watch 5, codenamed godric, has surfaced online, revealing part of the upcoming smartwatch's hardware. The key takeaway: the processor carries over from the previous generation, while RAM has increased for the first time since Google entered the wearables market.
Same chip as the last three generations
According to the listing, the Pixel Watch 5 runs on the Qualcomm SW5100 platform — the same base chip used in the Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4. The processor pairs four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 1700 MHz with a Qualcomm Adreno 702 GPU at 1000 MHz, both unchanged from last year's model.
Google moved to the 4nm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 platform starting with the Pixel Watch 2, then upgraded to the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 in the Pixel Watch 4 to support Satellite SOS, which also brought a co-processor change from ARM Cortex-M33 to M55. The new listing doesn't mention the co-processor, so an upgrade there remains possible, though reusing the existing platform looks more likely.
For comparison, Samsung's Galaxy Watch 9 uses the 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite chip with one Cortex-A78 core and four Cortex-A55 cores.
The main change is memory: the listing points to 3GB of RAM, up from the 2GB used across every prior Pixel Watch generation. The extra memory is likely meant to support Gemini Intelligence features running more smoothly. Samsung's newest watch still ships with 2GB.
The listing shows a display resolution of 426×426 pixels at 320 dpi (xhdpi), matching the round display familiar from earlier models in the lineup.
An image included in the listing matches previously leaked renders and shows a new analog watch face built around the Neural Expressive design language from Gemini.
Google hasn't announced an official reveal date, but multiple reports point to the Pixel Watch 5 launching at a Made by Google event alongside the Pixel 11 series.
