Huawei Unveils Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro With 3,000-Nit Display
Huawei has unveiled the Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro, two smartwatches built around a 3,000-nit AMOLED display that stays readable in direct sunlight. The new models bring a notable jump in battery life over the previous generation and an updated set of sports and health features.
Display and build
Both models share the same AMOLED panel with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, measured at 30% APL under Huawei's lab conditions. The standard Watch GT 7 comes in 41mm and 46mm stainless steel cases, while the Watch GT 7 Pro is offered only in a 46mm case built from titanium with a ceramic bezel and sapphire glass. Both watches support Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band GNSS navigation, and NFC for contactless payments, plus a built-in microphone and speaker for wrist-based calls. Both cases carry 5 ATM and IP69 water-resistance ratings.
Battery life
For the 46mm versions of both models, Huawei claims up to 21 days in power-saving mode, up to 12 days of typical use, and up to seven days with the Always-On Display enabled. Continuous GPS tracking in trail-running mode lasts up to 51 hours. The smaller 41mm Watch GT 7 offers up to 14 days in power-saving mode and up to seven days of typical use.
Sports and health features
Pro Ski mode, exclusive to the Watch GT 7 Pro, records descent routes, peak G-force loads, and displays trail maps directly on the watch face.
Only the Watch GT 7 Pro adds an ECG sensor and a depth sensor rated for freediving down to 40 metres.
Both models gain new algorithms for blood glucose risk assessment and respiratory health analysis, alongside standard heart rate, SpO2, and sleep tracking.
Huawei has also updated the running, cycling, and golf profiles on both watches.
Pre-orders for the Watch GT 7 and Watch GT 7 Pro are already open in China, with the Watch GT 7 Pro shipping from August 28. A global rollout, including Europe, is expected in autumn 2026, though Huawei has not yet confirmed pricing for markets outside China.
