Motorola Confirms Moto G Max India Launch With Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and 7,000mAh Battery

Motorola has confirmed the Moto G Max for the Indian market and published the phone's full specifications. The Indian model differs noticeably from the global one: instead of the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 it runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and battery capacity climbs from 5,200mAh to 7,000mAh.

How the Indian model differs from the global one

The phone is built around the 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 with a 4×2.4GHz Cortex-A78 and 4×1.8GHz Cortex-A55 core layout — the same chip already used in the Moto G57 Power. The base version gets 6GB of LPDDR5X memory and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, while the global model is limited to slower UFS 2.2. The camera differs too: outside India the Moto G Max is sold with a 200MP main sensor.

Battery and charging

The defining spec is a 7,000mAh cell, up from 5,200mAh on the global version. Motorola quotes up to 63 hours of use. The phone supports 30W TurboPower wired charging, and the box includes a 33W adapter along with a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Display and cameras

The Moto G Max carries a 6.72-inch LCD panel with a 2400×1080 resolution and 391 ppi pixel density, a 120Hz refresh rate, a matching 120Hz touch sampling rate and up to 1,050 nits in high brightness mode, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The rear camera is built around a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus, joined by an 8MP ultrawide unit with a 119.5° field of view. The 32MP f/2.2 front camera records video in 2K at 30fps.

Water Touch keeps the screen responsive with wet hands or in the rain, when conventional touch panels tend to misread input.

RAM Boost virtually expands available memory up to 18GB by borrowing unused storage space.

The chassis has been tested to the MIL-STD-810H standard and carries an IP64 rating against dust and water splashes.

The phone runs Android 16 and is promised two major OS upgrades along with three years of security patches. Data protection is handled by ThinkShield for Mobile and Moto Secure, while Google Gemini serves as the AI assistant. Biometrics cover a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

The connectivity list comes with clear compromises: there is no NFC, Wi-Fi tops out at 802.11ac and Bluetooth is version 5.1. The USB Type-C port runs at USB 2.0 speeds, but the phone keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification.

The Moto G Max will be unveiled in India on 14 August 2026. It will be sold through Flipkart, motorola.in and offline retail stores, with pricing to be announced on launch day.
