Motorola Launches Moto Pad 70 Groove Tablet With 9 JBL Speakers in India

Motorola is preparing to launch the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India, a tablet built around a nine-speaker JBL audio system. Design-wise, the device closely mirrors the previously released Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2.

Large display and a versatile kickstand

The Moto Pad 70 Groove features a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and can reach up to 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode (HBM). A built-in kickstand on the back lets the tablet be propped up in multiple positions for viewing content.

Nine-speaker JBL audio

The tablet's standout feature is its JBL audio system, made up of nine drivers: four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators. Motorola claims the setup delivers up to 48W of total audio output.

The sound is tuned with Dolby Atmos support and carries Hi-Res Audio certification.

The tablet can also function as a standalone Bluetooth speaker, playing audio streamed from other devices.

Performance and software updates

Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, paired with a 10,200mAh battery meant for extended media sessions. The tablet ships with Android 16 out of the box, and Motorola has promised OS upgrades through Android 18 along with security updates until 2030.

The Moto Pad 70 Groove will go on sale in India on July 31 via Flipkart.
