POCO Launches X8 Power in India With a 10,000mAh Battery

POCO X8 Power

POCO has officially launched the POCO X8 Power in India, the highest-endurance model in the X8 lineup. The phone is built for buyers who value battery life above everything else, combining a large cell, a new chipset and a 120Hz display.

Display

The POCO X8 Power features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2772 x 1280 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, supports 12-bit colour depth, DCI-P3 coverage, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the fingerprint sensor is built into the display.

Performance

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, marking the chipset's debut in the X8 series through the India-exclusive X8 Power. Clock speeds reach up to 2.6GHz. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, a faster combination than the standard POCO X8 offers.

A new level of battery life

10,000mAh Silicon-Carbon. The cell is managed by the Xiaomi Surge G1 chip and, according to POCO, can deliver roughly 3.5 days of typical use on a single charge.

The phone supports 100W wired charging as well as 27W wired reverse charging, letting it top up other devices over a cable.

Despite the larger cell, the body measures 8.65mm thick and weighs 229 grams. The handset also carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, covering protection against dust, water immersion and high-pressure hot water exposure.

Camera and audio

The rear setup pairs a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 32-megapixel unit for selfies and video calls. Audio comes from stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, with maximum volume boosted up to 400%.

How the India model differs from other markets

So far, the POCO X8 Power has launched exclusively in India, with no official release date, pricing or specifications confirmed for Europe, the US or other regions. That sets it apart from the standard POCO X8, which launched globally and in India at the same time, but with different configurations: the global version ships with an 8,340mAh battery, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and up to 12GB of RAM, while the Indian version of that same POCO X8 gets a larger 9,000mAh battery. Based on this pattern, if the X8 Power eventually reaches other markets, its specifications could differ from the Indian version. No confirmed details on an international launch exist at this time.

Sales of the POCO X8 Power in India begin on September 11, 2026, exclusively through Flipkart, with a starting price of Rs 35,999 (~$410).
