Xiaomi Teases Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Ahead of August 27 Launch
Xiaomi has launched a teaser page for the Redmi Note 17 series on its global website, revealing part of the specifications for the line's top model, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. According to the published details, the phone will pack one of the largest batteries among the company's smartphones along with reinforced body protection.
Battery and charging
The standout feature of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is its 10,000mAh battery — according to Xiaomi, the largest among all of the company's smartphones. It can be charged via wired 100W HyperCharge technology.
Display and performance
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and CrystalRes technology. Performance is handled by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, with RAM reaching up to 12GB.
A memory extension feature can boost RAM up to 24GB by using spare storage space — the option is available on the 12GB RAM version.
Camera
The main camera will use a 50MP sensor paired with a secondary sensor. Xiaomi has not yet disclosed the exact specifications of the second module.
Durability and design
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is certified to IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K standards and has passed SGS testing for drop resistance from a height of 3 meters onto a granite surface. Xiaomi co-developed the phone with TÜV SÜD.
The back panel uses photochromic coating that shifts shade when exposed to sunlight.
The official unveiling of the Redmi Note 17 series, including the Pro Max model, is set for August 27.
