POCO Confirms M8 Power Launch With 8,000mAh Battery
POCO has confirmed the launch date for its M8 Power smartphone. An official teaser released by the company highlights the phone's key features: an 8,000mAh battery and an AMOLED display.
Battery life as the headline feature
POCO claims the 8,000mAh battery can deliver up to three days of use on a single charge, positioning endurance as the model's main selling point.
Camera and design
The teaser also reveals the phone's design: a raised camera module with the sensors and LED flash on the left, while the microphone, "50MP AI Camera" branding, and the POCO logo sit on the right. An orange colorway is among the confirmed finishes.
The main camera carries a 50MP AI Camera label, with POCO emphasizing AI-assisted image processing, though details of the algorithms have not been disclosed.
The POCO M8 Power will be unveiled on August 4 in India, with sales beginning on Flipkart.
Where it fits in the lineup, and what else is expected
The M8 Power will become the fourth model in the POCO M8 family, which already includes the POCO M8, M8 Pro, and M8s. POCO has not disclosed a full specification sheet yet. According to preliminary GSMArena listings and earlier reports, the phone may feature a 7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and 45W wired charging.
The information has not been officially confirmed and may change. Several reports suggest the M8 Power could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17, which launched in China.
